LIFESTYLE MEDICINE & ILLNESS MANAGEMENT

An Effective Approach to Health and Wellbeing

We know health is important and valuable. I’m here to listen and understand what matters most to you. As an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner, I’ll work with you to address your health concerns, discover goals that are meaningful to you, and create a personalized, practical plan based on your priorities and strengths to help you feel your best and live your healthiest, happiest life.

MY BACKGROUND

Amber Paris, FNP-C

I created this practice as I sought better health and balance in my own life. Through that experience, I was reminded that Lifestyle Medicine prevents, treats, and, in some cases, reverses chronic disease. I also learned that imperfection is part of the process and that there is room for flexibility. It is possible and realistic to add supportive activities to our lives, creating new pathways toward better health and well-being.

I’m a double board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Advanced Practice Holistic Nurse with more than 24 years in healthcare and over a decade as a nurse practitioner.

I trained as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the University of Massachusetts, including clinical training at the Presidio of Monterey through the California Medical Detachment. Although I’m a civilian, training in a military medical environment shaped my standards for precision, clinical care, and attention to the whole person. That perspective has continued to influence the way I practice medicine today.

I also earned my Master of Science in Nursing Education from Oklahoma City University, which shaped the way I translate complex medical information into practical understanding people can use.

LIFESTYLE MEDICINE

Six Pillars for Lasting Health

We all hear that we need to get outside, move more, eat well, sleep better, and manage stress. Knowing what we should do is one thing; figuring out how to make it happen in everyday life is another. Together we will address your concerns taking into account your overall health, medical history and symptoms. I will help you identify and use time and resources to support your health in a cost effective way.

Optimal Nutrition

Build a way of eating that supports stable energy, metabolic health, and long-term sustainability, without rigidity or extremes.

Physical Activity

Develop movement habits that strengthen your body, support mobility, and fit realistically into your daily life.

Restorative Sleep

Improve sleep quality and rhythm so your body can restore energy, regulate hormones, and recover effectively.

Stress Management

Learn practical tools to regulate stress responses and create more steadiness in both mind and body.

Social Connections

Strengthen meaningful relationships and connection patterns that support emotional well-being and resilience.

Risky Substance Avoidance

Identify and reduce substances or patterns that quietly disrupt sleep, mood, energy, or long-term health.
